What you'll find here is not a complete translation of the Dutch part of this site, but merely the information about my dogs, upcoming litter and practical information regarding this. As well as the pedigrees of my dogs. For addresses, tips on upbringing and race-description please find a local (bearded collie club) site.

All my childhood I spend with dogs. Which stopped when leaving the parental home. In 1991 I could not resist buying a puppy. A mid-sized male. No pedigree with illustreous names. The mother was a Scottish Collie, the father had 50% blood of a Bouvier des Flandres in his veins. His character was pre-dominantly that of a collie. His looks were those of a big, long-haired Border Collie. So when a few years later we developed the desire to get a second dog, we went looking for one of the collie breeds. And found the Bearded Collie to have the nicest character and most beautiful of them all.

It did not stop with these two dogs, through aquisition and our own breeding there are now five. And that started the Catherine Hall kennel. Read all about Eva, Kiyara, Legacy and Bear on the dogs page.

From the beginning we have taken this very seriously. Getting a dog is quite an adventure, so you might as well get a good one, or even better a great one. And we did achieve just doing that. Which resulted in breeding some terrific dogs. Not only as prize-winners but also beatifull characters that left us with some extremely pleased owners. And intelligent ones as well. We are very pleased that some of our offspring made it as handicapped assitence dogs, while others perform really well in agility.
We try to achieve this through line-selection, but keeping an open eye for fresh blood-lines to insure healthy and cheerful dogs and avoid the pitfalls of degeneration, while still maintaining the race standards. When we have a litter we will put up a webcam during the day-time, so you can see it's progress. This can be seen in the Dutch section.
